In Loving Memory of Bradley Swet (1984 – 2019)
Brad’s passion for trees began years ago while working for the Nevada Conservation Corps as an Americorps member, where he began gaining knowledge and experience in operating chainsaws and working with trees in a forested environment.
He later transitioned out of forest fire suppression and began working with individual tree care in the urban environment of Colorado, where he gained additional expertise with rope climbing and cutting/pruning techniques while gaining familiarity with numerous types of trees and the best way to maintain their health and natural beauty. During this period he also became more knowledgeable in the best practices of tree removal where required.
After later working as an ISA Certified Arborist for an Oregon-based tree service company for several years, Brad decided to continue pursuing his interest in professional tree care with his own company, and Foster Trees was born.
After Brad’s death in 2019, Nicky (Brad’s partner) and Brad’s parents wanted to keep the dream of Foster Trees alive. Foster Trees has grown steadily since its founding, predominantly through word of mouth from satisfied clients throughout the Portland, Oregon area. Brad’s clients prized his attentiveness, kindness, and true love for trees. We strive to keep Brad’s ethics with us as we move the company forward without him.
Brad was a Certified Arborist and the founder of Foster Trees. We are carrying on his passion for trees and his legacy through Foster Trees!
